Write down all the requirements
Check the accepted format, maximum size and any exact pixel dimensions. A file can meet the size limit and still have the wrong shape. WORDMIO uses decimal units: 200 KB means 200,000 bytes. If the form says strictly under 200 KB, try a 190 KB target rather than aiming at the boundary.
Do not use this number for every application. Some forms need a different size, and official photo instructions may include requirements that a file tool cannot check.
Crop first if an exact shape is needed
Open Crop & rotate image. Rotate first, choose a shape and adjust the selected area. Enter exact pixel values if you need a precise crop. For example, a 1,200 × 800 photo can produce an 800 × 800 square by choosing Left 200, Top 0, Width 800 and Height 800.
Download that copy, then use Resize image if it needs to be smaller. Setting both maximum dimensions to 400 gives a square input a 400 × 400 result. Resize preserves proportions and does not enlarge small originals.
Choose the format and size target
Open Compress image with the cropped or original copy. Select a format the form accepts and set the target to 190 KB for this example. JPG is a useful starting point for a photograph when accepted. Transparent areas become white in JPG.
Process the image and read the actual output size. If it is over the limit, allow dimension reduction only if the form permits smaller dimensions. If exact dimensions are mandatory, keep that option off and review quality or use another accepted format. Some combinations cannot meet a very small limit without losing useful detail.
Review the file you will actually upload
Use Compare to inspect your face, fine text or other important detail. Download the result, then open that exact file. Upload Check can compare it with the format, maximum size and maximum dimensions you enter. For exact dimensions, also read the displayed output width and height.
A passing check does not guarantee acceptance by the destination. Keep the original, use a clear filename and check the real upload preview before submitting.
Put it into practice.
